More Baking

I've spent my afternoon baking.  Here is the cookie cake....

It got a little messed up because I decided to try to cool it on the cooling racks instead of the way I normally do it.  So it now has a crack in the middle, but it will still taste yummy.

Up next...M&M cookies....

It just wasn't my day for cooking.  I ran out of white flour, so I mixed white and wheat...not too big of a deal.  Then I used the wrong size scoop and ended up with gigantic cookies.  Which would have been fine, but I needed 36 cookies and the gigantic size only made 30.  So I had to mix up another batch.  The second time I used the correct scoop and they turned out great.  So now I have an abundance of cookies.

And last, just for fun, here's my wonderful husband being a good sport at the soccer game today...

He sported the sunglasses for the entire game, but would only wear the antenna during half time.  Originally he was going to wear yellow zebra socks like the girls wear with their uniform, but someone else needed the extra pair.  So we came up with this idea instead.  Too bad it didn't help the girls get a win.

Sorry for the lack of blogging about cookies.  I haven't blogged because I haven't made any cookies lately.  Things have been very hectic and I have been bummed that I could not fit cookie baking into the schedule.  But I finally found some time this week.  Today is Natalie's last soccer game of the season, and it's our turn to take snacks.  So what better snack for the Yellow Jackets than a big soccer ball cookie and a bee cookie for each girl.

I had big plans to make more decorated cookies for a service project I do with my church, but I couldn't find that much time in my schedule.  So they'll have to settle for m & m cookies.  Oh, and we have a soccer party tonight.  I'm taking a cookie cake to that one.  So still lots of cookie baking going on, just not necessarily the fun, cute cookies I want to make.
